If I'm ever a teacher and a student's phone rings, I am going to tell them to go ahead and answer it.

I know this looks like sunburn, but its not. The other weekend we had a fingerprinting lab, and I forgot to put my phone on silent. My wife called me right when my professor was wrapping things up. It was dead silent, and I was on the front row, and my phone rang, I hadn't realized that my ringer volume was set on loud like a fighter jet. It wasn't even like a cool song or ring tone that i could pretend to dance to or something. It was about as corny as you can get. “I LOVE YOUR GUTS, I LOVE I LOVE YOUR GUTS!” It was my beautiful wife calling. I picked it up and said "I'm gonna have to call you back, now is not a good time," then hung up and put it back in my pocket. It was kind of a big thing. I was sooo embarrassed that even my arms and hands turned red. I told my lab buddy to take a picture so I could sell it to my wife for a video game or something like that because she would pay good money to see me get embarrassed, especially in a public place like school, where other people besides just her could see it. Ohhhhh man. It seriously took about 5 minutes for my head to stop feeling like it was on fire. Any way, I thought I should share it with the whole world, it was pretty funny.

Nothing to say really.

I really should be doing homework or sleeping right now, but I don’t want to. Just don’t tell mom. I just wanted to say hi to everybody. I was on the web doing research and i was like hmm. i haven't read what is going on in my peep's lives for a little while and so i did and then i was like i want to say hi.

hi.

I miss you guys. You can come down to SD for my graduation and sleep at my house. Mom and Dad are going to sleep at Kristin's parent's house. Do you know what that means? Let me tell you what that means. We have at least 3 free floor spots (if Elvis sleeps on arm of the couch or by the door), 1 free air mattress, 1 free couch, and 1 free ugly brown chair that Kristin's sister sleeps on when she stays over. Yep. According to fire code that means we can safely sleep 6... If you don't believe me , ask Jesse, he knows, he was a state trooper once. We also got a Costco card a couple weeks ago, and that means that we can safely feed at least 6.

Just throwing that out there.

I never really stop to smell the flowers, just take pictures of them.

I have never put much stock in the Zodiac, however I have heard much about what it takes to be a Taurus due to my birthday. My favorite way of hearing my zodiac explained is by the story of Ferdinand the bull. I would encourage anybody to read the book. It’s cute. Anyway, spring always makes me feel a bit like Ferdinand and I cannot help but look at all of the beautiful flowers. Here is a little of what I have seen.

I made a photo CD at walgreens.

Here are the pictures to go with the hurried post below.
I think I need to get a photo blog. Whatever. Enjoy.

The sunrise on my way to work. It was cloudy and grey and looked like rain ahead, but in my mirror it looked like it was going to be a beautiful day.

Doing homework.

Example of school work: Latent fingerprints on a plastic spoon developed through a chemical process and vied through an orange filter with an alternate light source.

The prints are a little more clear after developing the picture in Photoshop. If you click on this picture you can actually see the ridge detail on the spoon.
Me and Carolyn Gannett, Criminalist III and Bloodstain Pattern Analyst with the San Diego County Sheriff's Crime Lab. She spoke at the last GXX meeting.
The reason I am doing all of the things these pictures show. I have a little gummi bear growing in my beautiful wife. I bet it is giving a thumbs up.

I am really proud of these prints. I did it in photoshop.

The one on the left is a latent print lifted at the "crime scene" and the one on the right is a known "rolled" print form a 10 card.

I am still alive, I swear. I am just a little busy.
Short recap:
I am going to be a dad.
We have our first ultrasound appointment on 5/12.
I think that I may be on the way to earning my very first not “A” in over 5 years.
We put an offer on a condo. (cross your fingers)
I lost the thing that transfers the pictures from my camera to the computer. (no new pictures until I get it replaced, sorry lab buddies)
I am going to walk at the Grossmont graduation ceremony in on Sarah’s birthday.
Mom and dad are going to be in SD.
Kristin’s parents moved back to SD from Riverside, about time.
I am seriously sick of school.
My cats are still cuter than your cats.
I am still a 42 in spite of my going to the gym regularly. (another bummer)
Last night I had a dream that all my teeth fell out.
There has only been one day in the last 14 that I did spend at least 4 hours at school for one reason or another. (Sunday 5/3)
It’s my birthday on Friday.
I have signed up for my very last summer classes. (I am so sick of school)
I signed Kristin up for this class with me: Criminal Profiling: This course is a 4-day conference sponsored by the Academy of Behavioral Profiling. This won’t feel like school even though it really is. Yessssssssssssssssssss.
I think she is maybe more psyched than I am about it.
I can’t wait until school is over.
I miss my family.
I love my brothers and sisters.
I am still alive.
